FFHOA Annual Meeting

Minutes for May 2, 2004

Meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm with 17 Fishers Farm residents present.  FFHOA President, Randy Brockelman went through the financial statement and budget of 2004.  All information including the Actuals, 2004-2005 Budget and Cash Flow are also posted on the website.  Several residents were delinquent on payment of their January homeowner’s dues.  Randy discussed unplanned item expenses such as the removal of muskrats from the pond and repair of the fountain due to the muskrats chewing on the electrical lines.

Discussion focused on the formation of committees to work on several areas of the covenants.  New recommendations needed to be made about trash cans, fences and sheds.  John Burton had agreed to head the Shed committee to come up with plans for approval.  These plans would then be voted on by the Board and brought to the community for acceptance into the covenants.

A survey had been sent out just prior to the meeting and residents volunteered to be part of several committees.  Other questions on an email survey included several community functions such as a Christmas Party and a Clean-up Day.  Sixty-six percent of the residents favored a party and 88% favored a Clean-up Day.  Another question focused on what people would like to see done to our common ground area on Frontier Drive.  Forty-five percent preferred a pool, 22% a basketball court and some preferred a picnic area.

The CEC committee had a Community Yard Sale planned for the first weekend in June.  Plans for the front entrances were in the process of being carried out with the South entrance getting perennials in the flowerbeds.  Petunias would be planted in the front part on each side.  Most would be planted by the end of May. No new newsletter was planned for the near future.

Discussion on mailbox repair would be talked about at the next Board meeting.  One resident would check on a company that could possibly provide mailbox numbers at a reasonable price.
